NODE 73 is a BBS built around what's actually still standing at Wardenclyffe — Tesla's tower in Shoreham, Long Island — reimagined as a working dial-up board. Nine lore doors run from tower defense to a wireframe dungeon crawl; a live lounge, a one-liner wall, daily rituals, and an archive of the real history round out the rest. The tower at Wardenclyffe is real. It was built between 1901 and 1904 in Shoreham, New York, designed by Tesla to transmit wireless power and communications across the Atlantic. Morgan pulled the funding in 1906. The tower was demolished for scrap in 1917. The laboratory building survives. This board takes that history seriously — the games, the lore, and the hidden corners are all built from real events, real people, and real science. J.P. Morgan, Westinghouse, Edison, and the Long Island press all show up here, and they all behaved more or less as described.
